Drama

Kaylen got sick on Sunday with a high fever and cough, Penny got sick on Tuesday with an ear infection and a resulting sudden fever during naptime that led to a febrile seizure (which fortunately turns out to be more of a scary than a dangerous thing), and now Link has a mild fever and isn't his usual 100% cheerful self...i'd say only 65%. ;) So now I've been welcomed to the world of having more than two sick little kids at a time and I do not like it. Not one bit.

Anyway, woe is me...and yet, I am SO thankful that my kids are only fighting some common ailments and not dying. Because seeing an ambulance and firetruck in front of my house is the scariest rhing I have ever experienced. (I was at Costco and Jason was home when Penny had her seizure and passed out) That realization of what could be happening, even though I'd been trying hard to stay calm as I raced home. And the extreme relief of getting inside and seeing her pale little body surrounded by EMTs - but she was crying and she was alive. And now is just a bit grumpier and more tired than usual.

(I would like to say this has made me more patient with my sick kids, but sadly that isn't the case and they are getting on my nerves. Come on, guys! Snap out of this misery! Just like...oh, yeah. Like I can't either.)
