This morning did not go very well, so i decided for the sake of a tired, fussy little girl and a tired mama we had to get out of the house. My mom was available for a lunch date and since she can't eat gluten we got to try out a new place downtown, The Fieldhouse Cafe. It was delicious, had a great atmosphere, and is probably the only place i'll ever go to that provides a hand-painted wooden highchair and a plastic toy that has been sterilized since the last kid used it. I enjoyed it too much to take pics of the food, but it was delicious. Both mine and Kaylen's, which was a breakfast burrito that she ate well over half of (just the insides). That kid can eat! (This is why when Jason and I go out to eat with her, we have to look for places with free kids' meals!)
Then we went to the park and Kaylen discovered the joys of playing in gravel. She crawled all over in it, getting filthy dirty and having the time of her life. She only tried to eat the rocks a few times, so it's nice to see her beginning to get past the EVERYTHING MUST GO IN MY MOUTH! stage. And it was a beautiful day to be outside. Windy, but so warm i wanted to take my sweater off.
Sadly no gravel-playing pictures, because someone turned the camera direction around without realizing it...
