Good thing I will soon not be writing headlines for a living anymore...

Anyway, catching up on a few things from my camera:

A few weeks ago I made chicken pho, relying heavily on this pho ga recipe, but only using one chicken and no extra pieces. It's the first time I've cooked broth so nicely, first cooking the chicken, then draining off that water, pulling off the meat, and making fresh broth with the chicken bones. It makes for a more clear broth, though. More work, but I think worth the effort.
I actually made a more concentrated "chicken soup" when reheating the cooked chicken, which I added with the broth and tapioca/rice noodles for the individual bowls of pho

We went to Red Lodge Friday night and I had good intentions about taking pictures there, but it was just too cold and windy. It was fun, though. And we got something at the Rock Shop: a conglomeration of selenite rose (also called desert rose), as my dad informed us today. It's nice having a science-y dad for things like this!

And finally, because I just like pictures of plants, here's one thing I haven't managed to kill yet:
