Lights & Landscaping

I didn't remember to take pictures before Jason cut down the two evergreen bushes in the front yard, but here's what it looked like after he cut them down and raked back the rocks to make a strip we could plant other things in.

We planted three flowering shrubs, a holly, some daffodils and tulips, a couple grasses from Jason's mom, and some mint transplanted from the backyard (since it grows like a weed and will make nice ground cover).

Jason also put lights up under some of the cabinets in the kitchen, which will make it my favorite place to hang out this winter.

Today we did more planting and bought some pumpkins and peppers and now we're a bit too exhausted to clean. Someday everything will be clean and smell good and then it will really feel like home.
