That's really the most exciting news on the food front here: yesterday we went to Mr Thrifty's and there was a ginormous block of some kind of hard italian cheese that *looked* parmesany, on sale for just $9. Of course we had to buy it. Had it on top of our pasta last night and it was good, although a more mild flavor than parm. Good thing we liked it all right, as we now have a few pounds of it!
I'm taking a break right now from the stress of trying to get our health insurance figured out. It's been one big pain for the last week or so, but I finally talked to someone today who said I can't be enrolled with the form Jason sent in and I have to do something else and get on a different plan entirely, but I can do it now whereas Jason has to wait a week till he's officially done. I'm glad someone finally told me that after waiting for two weeks for things to get approved and talking to about six different people. :-P I begin to have some hope that I can actually go to the doctor before this kid is the size of a cantaloupe!
We're still not entirely unpacked and to be honest, my goals for the day are more like "get the dishes done" and "do some laundry," but it's starting to feel a lot more like home here. And the dogs love it. Every time we open the door to let them outside, they go tearing off into the backyard as if there's a squirrel out there or some other delight. Here's Lucy, keeping an eye on our street.
Amanda, going to Mr. Thrify's is so much fun if done right. I never go with the idea that I am going to find everything on my grocery list, but rather I go with the idea of finding bargains on some of the things on my list! Works great! I went to the new Mr. Thrifty's on Thursday after work and was very pleased with the selection.
ReplyDeleteIt is such a delight to know that you two are settled here in Billings! I hope we can see more of you soon. It's been an especially busy season for all of us!
