The good, bad & ugly

Which reminds me that my uncle had dogs named Good, Bad, and Ugly. Pretty great. Good and Bad were bassett hounds and Ugly was...ugly. 

Anyway, i decided to revamp our mantel for spring and summer with new candles and a new lamp shade for under $20 at Target. (It would have been even less, but my Cartwheel app malfunctioned.) And i like it so much I've decided it was well worth it. Also, new artwork in the background by me and Kaylen. 

This is both bad and ugly:

I reeeeeally wanted a new plant for the living room after somehow killing most of my plants this winter, so i bought one but neglected to actually PLANT it, just stuck it in its little plastic pot on top of the old one with the intention to take care of it someday. The lovely results are still sitting in my living room, but hopefully I will now be so ashamed i will throw it away....
