Planning and planting

I just mapped out a multi-season plan for the greenhouse that I actually think will be doable this year - yay! I'm trying to keep things simpler, but plant things we like to eat. That, and things that are cheaper to grow ourselves (like peppers! And lettuce. Obviously we like to eat both those things, too, though). I'm thinking just cherry tomatoes for the girls and to put in salads. No tomatoey jungle this year!

And because the greenhouse has a sturdy new cover on it, of course i had to plant something already. Tonight I turned up some beautiful dirt and dropped in carrot, lettuce, and radish seeds. That's my plan for successive plantings: plant CLR (chosen in that order so i'll remember it because of the drain cleaner) of different types. Because i have lots of varieties and there are enough seeds in each packet for some much bigger gardens, so why not have all the variety we can? Hit me up if you want to try a "few" (like 50) seeds of something; i don't know how many more years some of these will keep, although i've never had a problem with germination. And honestly, I have seeds for pretty much everything. Except broccoli. Jason thinks that is a completely unnecceasary vegetable.
