Of grocery stores

There's a new grocery store that just opened and in addition to the fact that it has a vast variety of produce, what excites me most is that it's blocks from my house. I went yesterday morning and had just a few minutes to grab stuff and then went back today for a better look and to experience the official opening day madness. It was madness, and i didn't get much better of a look, but Kaylen and I still enjoyed it. She got free orange juice, a cookie, a sticker, and lots of people-watching, so it was a big success from her point of view.

This time I got a better look at prices. If they keep having decent (or just plain awesome) prices on produce, it's going to be great. The only things i noticed that weren't so wonderful were prices on yogurt and on milk overall (although the local milk i buy for Kaylen was cheaper there); but if they keep things in stock, that will be a bonus. And i'm sure i'll do the same thing I do any grocery store and just buy what's on sale, so my overall impression is that I'll come out well ahead. Plus, it's going to be fun to shop there once there aren't a zillion people in the store! I didn't get half the things on my short list, but i did get kumquats. Priorities, right?
