Late summer produce

For lunch we ate tomatoes and just-dug-up carrots from our garden. For being such a very weed-choked plot of earth...not to mention being barely watered...i'm really amazed at how much our garden has produced. It makes me eager to try greenhouse gardening and then (i hope) have a better garden next year.

So far we've gotten about twenty small pie pumpkins, dozens of cherry tomatoes, dozens of carrots (most fairly small), a few handfuls of peas, green onions, about eight bigger tomatoes, jalepenos, literally more radishes than we could eat, and lots of fresh herbs that are still going strong.

I think the moral of this garden is, just do it. It's fun to harvest stuff.
