Fiesta!

I was thinking of a post entitled "A Ring of Endless Snot" based on Penny's and my life this week, but here is something a tad more fun.

Yesterday both kids were awake for most of the afternoon, so...instead of taking a nice nap like I had planned, we went into full party mode. I baked churros (bad idea - they were edible but I should have ignored the recipe and fried them), put an embroidered tablecloth that was my grandma's on the table, and cut up the pepper and tomato pages from a seed catalog to make paper springs to hang from the ceiling. Both kids love making messes with paper, so that kept them occupied for a good long time. Hooray! And Penny ate hardly any paper (but since it was a catalog for heirloom seeds, the ink is probably non-GMO soy-based healthy-as-you-can-eat ink anyway. ;) )
