We finally are in the home stretch, the spring-is-really-almost-here time when it's okay to begin expecting it, looking forward to it, because it's only a month or so away. Now there is more sunshine and heavy jackets aren't required and the ice is melting fast. Now it's to the point where i know spring is unstoppable in its coming (even if snow is forecast for the end of the week), and my heart is already starting to rejoice. Because even though a blanket of snow can be beautiful, i just love spring so very much. Soon there will be green grass and 50-degree flip-flop weather. Laura Ingalls Wilder said something like, "It is easy to laugh in the springtime," and it's true.
So yesterday i took the girls on our first walk in literally months, because the street was finally clear(ish) enough to push a stroller, mostly one-handed because Kaylen held my hand most of the way to the park.
Glorious.
