Chervil

I haven't had a ton of success with herbs this year (although some are starting to look a little better since i loosened up the dirt in their pots so water could soak in deeper), but one thing that's grown great is chervil. It's some kind of French (?) parsley-looking herb that has a licoricey taste and grows well in partial shade. Actually the tips are starting to look a little burned now from the heat, but it's still growing - and starting to flower, with tiny white flowers. It makes a nice bouquet, too.

(I never watered the zinnia and sunflower seeds i planted, so herbs are the new thing for decorating...)
