We don't have any graves to visit in Billings (something i'm thankful for), so we had a very fun and frivolous day. It was just what i've been wanting.
Jason let me sleep in, so when i finally woke up i felt cheerful and up for making blueberry pancakes. You know it's a holiday when you have a breakfast more complicated than toast or smoothies....
We went to the zoo after that and even though we got rained out, we still saw most of the animals and had a nice walk. (And then a very fast walk back through the zoo and to our car, but we beat the torrential rain!) Kaylen loved getting to run around at the zoo playground.
And after a lazy afternoon (complete with gyro pizza for lunch from Tarantino's), we got to eat prime rib and watermelon with my side of the family. I'd say it was a pretty perfect vacation day, and those have felt few and far between, so i'm really grateful for this one! It's good to feel refreshed every once and a while.
