January goodnesses

January is probably my least favorite month; tied to it being the coldest and snowiest, i imagine. I always get spring fever about now and it only gets worse through February and March.

But this weekend i've been reminded that there ARE things i like about the dead of winter: citrus, in every form. We got some beautiful yellow OroBlanco grapefruits in our bountiful basket yesterday (i had to look up the PLU code online because i had no idea what they were!) and then yesterday afternoon i got this issue of Martha Stewart with gorgeous citrus fruit on the cover. And i'm not sure how i got the magazine, as my free subscription had expired, but it totally made my day to be surprised by it.

So there you go. Maybe January is not so rotten after all. ;)
