- Kaylen has been a very busy girl this week. I'm used to thinking of her as a big girl, but when she's crawling (quite quickly!) down the hallway, she looks so tiny. It's pretty cute. Now if i leave her in her room to run do something in the kitchen, she chases me. And is very pleased to find herself in new places.
- At last K is looking at books again instead of just eating them!
- We ventured out to Natural Grocers, which is really becoming one of my favorite stores. I went for an advertised deal on apples, which they were out of, but instead got 4-5 pounds of 4-5 different apple types for $2. I love their bargain table! Kaylen now has a ton of gingery cooked apple chunks, her favorite. Also, i discovered they have bulk spices. I got nice big bags of fennel, dried ginger root pieces, and peppermint leaves. They also had seeds, but i was exceptionally good and didn't buy any.
- A mix of peppermint, a few bits of ginger, some crushes cardamon seeds, and allspice powder makes for a delicious tea.
- You can't tell in the picture, but i was trying to show our new curtains. They're a nice light blue and make our bedroom look lighter and about fifty times better than the ugly old maroon curtains that had been there since i moved in five years ago!
