Actually, the food processor. I've been using it all day, which sounds like i accomplished a lot! Really it took eight hours to make three easy things, doing a bit at a time. But i'm still pretty pleased with the results: instant oatmeal, hummus, and pesto.
Homemade instant oatmeal is a genius thing from Martha Stewart. Cook 3-4 cups of rolled oats at 350 for about 10 minutes, till slightly golden. Then pop it in the food processor with some brown sugar and spices and all you have to do is add boiling water and stir when you want some oatmeal. (I don't like regular instant oatmeal because it's too sweet.)
