Things that made my week

A friend always posts "five things that made my week" on her blog on Saturdays, and it's one of my favorite things to read. I think it's good to remember at the end of the week what you're thankful for before you go crashing into a new week, but i rarely do it. So without further ado, here are some things that made my week:

- a husband who encourages me that i'm NOT failing for not keeping the house all nice and sparkly clean and especially for one who takes Kaylen with him to pick up our bountiful basket early on Saturday morning so that i can sleep.

- a daughter who laughs hilariously at things like one of our dog licking her pant legs or at her dad dropping the washcloth on her in the bath. She's a fun one, that kid.

- plants that are still growing! Our yard may look horrific after one of the hottest summers on record and no watering, but our basil sure is growing nicely. And so are our sweet potato plants and strawberries. (Not producing yet, though.)
