Also, another friend recommended Carnation Breakfast Essentials (a powder you mix with a glass of milk) for a calorie and energy boost at times when even chewing takes too much energy - you can buy them at Coscto and they're pretty reasonably priced. I drank them theough my last pregnancy, nursing, and now again with this one.
Molly, thanks so much for your suggestion! I'm going to try to make the energy bites soon ("no bake" is appealing! :) ) and will definitely get some of the breakfast drink.
