Sand and sun

Yesterday afternoon we decided to take a picnic lunch from Panera and the dogs to the beach. But the beach we usually go to was closed, and the next beach we found didn't allow dogs. Then I remembered that Fort Story was close by, so we went there and after more driving around found the beach. And it was a nice one. In addition to being beautiful and not overcrowded, we saw brown pelicans and a bunch of dolphins frolicking offshore. Good times.

[Update: I forgot to mention the best part - shade! Jason bought a shelter for us at K-Mart and it made the beach about 10x better having some shade.]
