At least, i hope so. The beauty of it is that once we get these plants established (and mulched to keep out weeds!), there really won't be that much work till late summer when harvesting starts - and that won't be till next year at the earliest, anyway. And then we will have fresh fruit, which really is more valuable than fresh vegetables anyway. Or "vengetables," as Kaylen calls them.

Garden planning
As Jason just reminded me, i'm going to have a newborn this spring. But i still have concocted a brilliant plan for our yard. Someday it will be expanded to encompass everything I'd like, but for now one bed of the greenhouse is going to be converted to a nursery for two dwarf pomegranate trees, a dwarf nectarine, and some thornless blackberries. And the front bed by the house (currently a haven for birds because of all the dead sunflowers we didn't intentionally plant last year) will have four flowering cherry bushes, two currant bushes, and a very showy flame grass. Bam. Totally doable, right?
