Kaylen: I NOT a space robot, I a PURPLE robot!
(She talks in a really funny voice when she's a robot. Except when she is being emphatic like that.)
Penny doesn't really talk yet, but she can make intelligible sounds. Yesterday she fell off a kitchen chair and was inconsolable (and wouldn't walk), so we ended up at the ER for the usual hours and hours. But when she wasn't crying, she showed me her belly button and said something that sounded an awful lot like it. Usually she just copies words and sounds, so it's fun when she comes out with something on her own. She also knows "shoes" very well - another girly girl in the house!
Something crazy has happened to me. I love warm weather and sunshine, but Kaylen loves snow so much that I've started checking the 10-day forecast every day in hopes that she'll finally get her snow. And i might have promised her a Snowflake Day like on Daniel Tiger when it snows. I even have a present saved up for it - snow boots i got on eBay. It's actually very hard to wait, because they light up and are pink and have glittery pop poms are basically insanely perfect for her. Pictures sure to come.
In the meantime, here is Kaylen pushing Penny up and down the hallway. She wanted her to be a grandma, which I think means the chair is a wheel chair. (None of her grandmas or great-grandmas are in wheelchairs. Not even Caillou's grandma is, so this is a bit of a mystery...but it was a joy to watch!)
