I got sunshine

Monday was not a good day, mostly due to trying to get too much done and not being the most pleasant person to be around.  Things have gone much better since I resolved to take it easier. "Getting things done" shouldn't be all I do. 

But still, this sunshine and spring fever got to me and I took both kids to Target this afternoon. I realize i might be the only person in the world who waited seven months before taking two kids shopping with her, but I don't regret it. It wasn't too bad, though, other than trying to get kids loaded and unloaded in this ferocious wind! And since Kaylen has started cold round two, we needed to stock up on important things like baby tylenol and...animal cookies. Lunchtime would not be the same without an animal cookie or two at the end of it!

The highlights of the day, though, have been 1) a fresh-from-our-tiny-tree grapefruit, with one pf the best scents I have ever smelled (and peels I have to find a use for, because I can't bear to waste them. Probably saving them for my favorite beer, a citrus IPA). And 2) Jason hung a new bird feeder yesterday and I've been watching mysterious, tiny birds coming to it all afternoon. Now in this gloriously-still-light early evening there's a reddish finch.
