Butter

Mmm! Note to self: make flavored butter! I think this every time we eat at Lilac, and this time I hope i actually remember and do it. Because it's even better than regular butter.

This is some kind of citrusy, salty, herby concoction:

(And i never thought i'd want to go out on Valentine's Day, but this year I very much wanted to. And i'm glad we did. If you live here and haven't been to Lilac, go! Even if you only go for dessert. Dessert was toffee pudding with earl gray ice cream and crumbs from pretzels or something. I wish i could eat ten helpings of it.)
