Provocative

My favorite quote from Marabee in the parenting class we went to on Sunday was that kids are "provocative -- they're stimulating." I like that better than "busy," and it's true; they keep you on your toes, but that's part of their kid-ness and ultimately i think we're supposed to appreciate it and be thankful for it more than despise it. Although perhaps you really can't help being exhausted by it....

Anyway, phrasing is psychologically important. 

And here is Kaylen peppering the gourd decorations while I was making lunch. She managed to eat some pepper, too, but didn't seem to mind it....
