I'm not ready for fall yet, in spite of being tempted at the thought of pumpkins. Cool weather does sound nice, but definitely not cold. My idea of perfect is 70 degrees during the day, 50 at night, and just enough rain to keep the grass growing. Hopefully that's exactly what we'll get in a couple weeks! Meanwhile, i'm thankful it's been cooler during the last few days and our house temp hasn't gotten up to 80 like it did last week. (If not for window a/c units in our rooms, i don't think we could sleep.)
We had these wildflowers growing in our yard and i think they're a perfect representation of late summer....
(Also a zillion apples fermenting in the backyard, but Jason and Kaylen took care of those this morning. Now i just want to pick the ones remaining on the tree and when it DOES actually cool down, bake an apple pie. Might be what we have for dinner, but hey, it'll be good!)
