Yesterday I went out to the greenhouse for the first time this week and was kind of astounded by its jungle-y-ness. I had trimmed tomato branches away from the bell peppers only a day or two before Penelope was born, but there were branches pushing over the pepper plants only a week later. So i decided it was a good excuse to pick the two biggest peppers, even though they were a tad small still (but literally doubled in size since last week). And they were delicious mixed in with the scrambled eggs for our breakfast-burrito dinner.
Moral of the story: tomatoes and peppera REALLY like greenhouse conditions. (Lettuce, not so much in late July.)
