Jason had to go back to work tonight, so I have the evening alone. He suggested taking a nap, but as I ended up not getting an early enough start for that, i'm having decaf English Breakfast tea that might have just enough to boost me through the evening without dozing. :-P
Kaylen had not one, not two, but three wet diapers since we put her to bed, making her ridiculously tired and cranky. I resorted to rocking her to sleep so she could just relax and finally fall asleep, poor kiddo. Haven't done that since she was very small. It was actually the most relaxing thing i could have done, though, for myself. Something about sitting in a dark room, listening to soothing music, and cuddling a sweet little girl is very nice.
And now here I am sipping my tea and wondering...what should I read next??? I just finished re-reading Emma, by Jane Austen, and although it's fairly long and I have started it without finishing many times prior to this, it's well worth it. It's one of my favorite novels, which of course means favorite BOOKS, since I don't read much else. Except free kindle books about organic gardening and such. But those will never qualify as favorites....
