It's nice and cool today, so I'd been planning all week for it to be a baking day. Apple turnovers with apples from our backyard - what could be better? I've made them before and they were easy. But now it's noon and the dishes aren't even done yet. Maybe they're not going to be so easy to make after all.
On the plus side, I'm enjoying listening to George Strait while rocking a poor teething baby. This is still, somewhat mysteriously, my favorite job i've ever had. (i should be honest - it's my favorite now that she's not a newborn. :-p) I just need to remember that when i don't ever get around to those apple turnovers. But it's okay to just go with muffins or granola, in the realm of true easy-bake.
