I saw tomatillos in the grocery store today and decided we needed some. I'd only had them once before, but they were good and I felt brave today.
They have the coolest papery skins. Unfortunately they're a bit sticky once you get the skins off, but you can scrub most of that off.
Tomatillo sauce for two:
5-6 tomatillos, skins removed
1-2 cayenne peppers (minus seeds), minced
Juice from half a lime
Blend till fairly smooth and creamy. It's delicious - I was tempted to just eat it by the spoonful.
