Saturday in the backyard

Jason got some cinder blocks for our next big project after hops and the garden: building a clay oven.

Being outside with both of us makes Lucy extremely happy.

And of course, part of what makes me happy outside is all the buds on the apple tree. I guess I didn't really need to try to force apple blossoms inside when the trees would be greenifying in the next week or so anyway! (Although it was a fun experiment. And real apple blossoms *did* eventually start to appear - they're pretty pitiful-looking, though.)
